Volunteer Training

Please contact us for training dates and information.
Dear Community Members:

I just wanted to say thank you to everyone who donated to the Juvenile Assistance Fund over the Christmas season.  We were able to collect close to $7,000.   We donated several thousand dollars for Christmas presents for the juveniles across the State, and we were able to purchase gas, phone, and Wal-Mart cards to replenish our dwindling stock.  In addition, we purchased a case of Recovery Bibles and have helped out with several miscellaneous needs.  This could not happen apart from the generous donations we received.  So once again, on behalf of the juveniles and families, thank you.
We have had a lot of changes at the Nampa facility over the past several weeks.  I just want to say thank you all for your patience and grace as we train new staff and navigate the changes to one large, non-denominational service.  We have had great feedback from the juveniles over the past 3 weeks since starting the service and have had great teams with full-blown worship and teaching.  So, thank you to all of you who participate regularly and give of your time and talent.
In addition, we will be launching Life Hurts God Heals inside the Nampa facility the first week in March and are excited about the outcome as we currently have many juveniles signed up to take that program.
I would like to welcome Barbie Getchell, Anita Smith, and Sarah Weintraub to the JCCN team.  I am excited for this next season of ministry and, once again want to thank all of the wonderful volunteers and juvenile correction staff that make things happen every week.

Sincerely,
James Barnes

To Whom it may Concern:

I just wanted to say “Thank you” for helping me out on my journey to sobriety.

When I got out of jail, all I had was a pair of sneakers, jail blues and polos to wear.  With your help, care, concern, and donations I was able to get a job and have the confidence in myself that, though I was in a new city by myself, I still had someone there to help me with staying sober, getting a job, and guidance in staying away from the gang life.

Once again, I thank you for not judging me because of my past.  You also treated me with respect -- like the adult and positive citizen of society that I am trying so hard to become.

Thank you for your hospitality and help on my road to recovery.  I am forever thankful and I really appreciate you for making my new start just a little bit easier.  Thank you for the donations and being there for me.

I would also like to personally thank Mario for helping me and telling me that if I ever needed someone to talk to or someone to just hang out with, I could call him and he would be there for me.  It gives me inner strength to go forward because of what you guys have done for me.  Before you guys came into my life I felt lost, hopeless and abandoned.  But now that I have your help, you have influenced me to stay on the right track.

THANK YOU again for all you’ve done!

Sincerely,
Nick J.
